How to Use Quick Filters to View and Customize Watershed Reports

Watershed's Quick Filters allow your users to filter reports without needing to access Watershed’s report creation tool, Report Builder. These filters—which are easy to use—are perfect for providing limited report control to users who aren’t familiar with Watershed.

Quick Filters appear at the top of Watershed's reports.

Why did Watershed develop Quick Filters?

Some of our clients have hundreds of users logging into Watershed to view the same dashboards. And they want each user to be able to customize the dashboards to meet their respective needs, but they don’t want each user to change the dashboards for other users.

Quick Filters allows any user to view and customize reports without affecting the report for other users. These filters also are easy to use and require minimal training.

How do Quick Filters work with Report Builder's filters?

Watershed's Report Builder (formerly called Explore) offers users the ability to filter data for reports to make sure each report only includes relevant data.

Quick Filters work in addition to Report Builder's filters, so you still have some control over what your users see in reports.

How do I add Quick Filters to my Watershed reports?

It’s easy! When setting up a report in Report Builder, select which filters to enable in the Quick Filters section.
